The NBCS Foundation was delighted to host our 2nd annual gala dinner on the 7th March 2024 at Old Trafford Football Stadium.
An evening of glitz, glamour and great company was enjoyed by all as we demonstrated the impact that our work has had on breaking the cycle of offending and improving the lives of those effected.
For demonstrating such passion, commitment & motivation in providing meaningful employment opportunities to people with convictions, helping to change lives, prevent crime and improve our communities
For overcoming great personal adversity and for providing valuable insight work to the retail sector - supporting loss prevention teams and helping to preventing retail crime and improve communities
Receiving the 2023 NBCS Foundation Business Appreciation Award was an amazing achievement that I am incredibly proud of. Having spent over 25 years in active addiction committing crime and feeling worthless, I thought I would never achieve anything. Since getting clean from substances and entering recovery it has given me a life to be proud of and motivation to do more to help others. I now have a purpose in life, have rebuilt relationships with my family and have good friends.
In addition to all of this, I am lucky to be able to work with the Notts Police Business Crime Team, providing crime prevention inputs to businesses, alongside this I continue to support both the Notts and West Midlands Offender to Rehab projects to engage others in active addiction to enter their own recovery journey. This has more recently led to me being successful in a paid role with Cleanslate- the Criminal Justice Prison Pathway Team.
All of this has been made possible due to the amazing support I have received from businesses and other services, and I will always be grateful beyond words for that, I couldn't have done it without them.
